Itinerary at a Glance : Colombo – Pinnawala – Dambulla - Sigiriya – Kandy - Peredeniya – Nuwara Eliya - Kitulgala - Colombo

Day 1: Colombo – Pinnawala - Dambulla
Today you will arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo where our representative will welcome you and you will drive to Dambulla via Pinnawala.
Pinnawela is mainly famous for its only kind of elephant orphanage in this world. This orphanage is situated northwest of the town Kegalla, half ways between the present capitol Colombo and the ancient royal residence Dambulla in the hills of central Sri Lanka. It was established by the Sri Lanka Wildlife department for breeding purpose and to save the life of elephants. Pinnawala elephant orphanage the greatest herd of elephants in captivity in the world. Later continues drive to Dambulla. On arrival at Dambulla, check in at a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Dambulla - Sigiriya - Kandy
Today morning after breakfast proceed for the city tour of Dambulla. Visit Dambulla Rock temple, a world heritage site. Also visit Nalanda Gedige, a most remarkable amalgamation of Hindu and Buddhist architectures. Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress at Sigriya and explore the frescos.
Later drive for Kandy via Sigriya.and enroute visit Nalanda Gedige.Sigiriya may have been inhabited through prehistoric times. It was used as a rock-shelter mountain monastery from about the 5th century BC, with caves prepared and donated by devotees to the Buddhist Sangha.Later reach Kandy and check in at a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Kandy - Peredeniya - Nuwara-Eliya
After breakfast proceed for the city tour of Kandy. Sightseeing includes a drive around the Kandy Lake, a cultural show, and a visit to the arts & crafts centre, gem museum, and the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Also visit the impressive Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya.
 Botanical Garden of Peredeniya is world famous for its variation in plant species in all over the world and the finest of its kind in Asia, the largest of the three botanical gardens in the island, couldn't be better located. In the Mediterranean climate of Kandy the gateway to the central highlands, the Gardens were bounded on three sides by a loop of river Mahaweli.
Later continue drive to Nuwara-Eliya, upon arrival check in to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: Nuwara-Eliya - Kitulgala - Colombo
Today morning after proceeds for the sightseeing tour of Nuwara-Eliya which is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort and tea plantation region. Visit Laksapana Falls, Horton Plains and Hakgala botanical garden. Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights), also known as 'Little England', was the favourite hill station of the British who tried to create Nuwara Eliya into a typical English Village. One can easily find out the impact of British culture in this city.
Later drive to Colombo enroute visit Kitugala which offers the opportunities to have active nature experiences including white water rafting in Kelani River, bird watching, rain forest explorations, organic farm activities, and other exciting experiences. Continue drive to Colombo and upon arrival check in to the hotel for overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5 : Colombo
After breakfast proceed to the Colombo airport to board a flight for your onward destination.
