Itinerary

  1. Day 01

    New Delhi - Haridwar

    210 kms / 06 hrs

    Arrive Delhi and transfer to Haridwar by Road / Train ( as per preference ). On arrival in Haridwar, Check in Hotel to relax. Evening free or visit Har Ki Pauri. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

  2. Day 02

    Haridwar - Barkot

    230 kms/ 07 hrs

    Depart from Haridwar early morning and take lunch on the way in Mussoorie. Restart your journey and reach Barkot in the evening after visiting Kempty Falls on the way. On arrival check in Camp /hotel. Yamunotri Road. Diner and Overnight at Camp/hotel resort.

  3. Day 03

    Barkot - Barkot

    Yamnotri– (32 kms )

    Again after an early breakfast leave for Hanuman Chatti ( Drive 32 kms ) to start your journey. Take a local jeep to reach Phool chatti.. Arrive at Yamunotri and pray at temple and also take a holy Achman to start your most sacred pilgrimage to Char Dhams. Come back to Phool Chatti in the evening to return back to Camp resort for dinner and relaxation at the resort. Overnight at Camp/hotel resort.

  4. Day 04

    Barkot - Uttarkashi

    152 kms / 06 hrs

    After a relaxed breakfast leave for Harsil a drive of 152 kms. En route stop at Uttarkashi for Lunch. On the way stop at Gangnani for hot water spring dip. Restart to reach Harsil, One of the most beautiful valleys in the world and reach Camp/hotel set amidst an apple Orchard in Dharali village 2 kms away from Harsil cantonment in the valley on the highway itself. On arrival check in for dinner and overnight.

  5. Day 05

    Uttarkashi - Uttarkashi

    Gangotri – 22 kms

    After breakfast leave for Gangotri and on arrival take a holy dip in the River sacred The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja after that and relax for sometime in the lovely surroundings. Come back to Camp/hotel in the afternoon to relax in the bright sunshine and some of breathtaking views of the valley beautiful.. Dinner and overnight at Camp/hotel.

    a) Temple Of Gangotri : As the legend goes, Raja Bhagirath used to worship Lord Shiva at the sacred stone near which the temple is located. It is believed that Goddess Ganga first descended to earth from heaven, at this stone.
    Amar Singh Thapa, the Gorkha Commander of Garhwal, in the 18th century AD constructed this temple. It is also believed that the Pandavas came here to perform the great “Deva Yagna" to atone the death of their kinsmen in the battle of Mahabharata. 
    b) Submerged Shivling : Submerged in the river, this natural rock shivling is the place where, according to mythology, Lord Shiva sat when he received the Ganga in his matted locks. It is visible in winter months when water level decreases.

  6. Day 06

    Uttarkashi - Guptakashi

    283 kms / 10 hrs

    After a very early breakfast leave for the longest journey of the trip on the road. Late Lunch en route. On the way see the heritage city of Tehri going down in to the mighty waters of Holy River Ganges, because of the construction of Tehri Dam. After lunch restart your journey and today for the first time see the river beautiful MANDAKINI. Travel along this to reach Guptkashi late in the evening. On arrival check in Camp/hotel (Guptkashi. Dinner and overnight at Camp/hotel.

  7. Day 07

    Guptakashi - Kedarnath

    32 kms Drive,14 kms trek

    After breakfast pick up your packed Lunch and leave for Gaurikund ( a 32 kms drive one way ) on arrival start your journey on the tough trek ahead. Stop for the lunch en route and restart after that to arrive by late afternoon. On arrival check in Bikaner house / Parmarth Ashram or similar. After freshening up perform Pooja and also Darshan at the shri Kedarnath ji. In the evening also visit Adi Shankaracharya samadhi at the back of the temple. Dinner and overnight at ashram. Kedarnath Temple : An imposing sight, standing in the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by lofty snow covered peaks. The present temple, built in 08th century A. D. by Adi Shankaracharya, stands adjacent to the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with figure of various deities and scenes from mythology. Outside the temple door a large statue of the Nandi Bull stands as guard. Dedicated of Lord Shiva, the exquisitely architecture Kedarnath temple is considered to be more than 1000 years old. Built of extremely large, heavy and evenly cut Grey slabs of stones, it evokes wonder as to how these heavy slabs had been handled in the earlier days. The temple has a "Garbha Griha" for worship and a Mandap, apt for assemblies of pilgrims and visitors. A conical rock formation inside the temple is worshipped as Lord Shiva in his Sadashiva form.

  8. Day 08

    Kedarnath - Guptkashi

    14 kms Trek, 32 kms drive

    After breakfast start you journey back to Gaurikund and on arrival leave for Guptkashi by road to reach the Camp/hotel by evening. Dinner and overnight at Camp/hotel.

  9. Day 09

    Guptkashi - Badrinath

    235 kms / 06 hrs

    After breakfast leave for Badrinath via Chopta via Joshimath, one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through the thick medicinal forest and stop at Pipalkoti for Lunch. Arrive at Camp/hotel Badrinath by late afternoon. Evening free in Badrinath. Dinner and overnight at Ashram/hotels.

  10. Day 10

    Badrinath - Pipalkoti

    70 kms Drive

    After breakfast leave for Shri Badrinath ji, on arrival take the holy Darshan and spend time visiting Mana village the last village before the Tibet border. Come back to Camp/hotel for dinner and overnight. 
    Badrinath Temple : Perched at an altitude of 3,133 Mt above sea level, in the middle of a beautiful valley, it is located on the right bank of holy river Alanknanda. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinathji is 15 meter in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire.Legend dates the temple prior to the Vedic age, though the present temple is believed to have been established by Adi Shankaracharya, the 8th century AD, and Hindu reformist. 
    The temple has been renovated several times due to earlier damages by avalanches and looks modern now with a colorful "Singh Dwara" or the main entrance gate. The temple has three parts - Garbha Griha (the sanctum) Darshan Mandap (for pujas) and Shobha Mandap (for devotees to assemble).It is believed that the image of Badrinath had been thrown into the Alaknanda River during the time of the Buddhist era and later retrieved and reinstalled by Shankaracharya during the following Hindu revival.There are 15 idols in the temple complex. Finely sculpted in black stone, the Badrinath (Vishnu) image is a meter high. Other images include those of Lame (Vishnu's consort), Garurh (Vishnu's mount), Shiva, Parvati, and Ganesh etc. 
    Tapt Kund: Devotees take a holy dip in the natural thermal springs on the banks of the river Alaknanda, before entering the Badrinath Temple. The water of the Kund is believed to have medicinal properties. Evening visit temple for Darshan. After Darshan come back to hotel for overnight stay.
     

     

  11. Day 11

    Pipalkoti - Haridwar

    250 kms / 10 hrs

    After breakfast leave for Haridwar and on the way take lunch. Restart and if time permits visit Devprayag ( The confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, to become Ganga ). Reach Haridwar in the evening to check in Hotel.

  12. Day 12

    Haridwar - New Delhi

    270 kms Drive (06 hrs)

    Morning after breakfast proceeds to New Delhi to connect flight/train to your own destination.
